Important Questions for Maria
Why should you trust me with your dog?
I have received formal training and certification in dog behavior/training while earning my bachelor’s degree at UConn. Additionally, I have hands-on experience working as a veterinary technician at both VCA Davis and New Canaan Veterinary Hospital.
What drew you to work at Active Dog?
I wanted to start working with active dog because I personally enjoy walking outdoors in nature, and walking my own dogs. I had a friend recommend active dog to me due to her happy experience working with them, and would like to put my free time to good use while I am studying to become a nurse at Fairfield University. I enjoy helping people by making sure their dogs get the exercise and companionship they need throughout the day, and love spending time with dogs too!

Favorite type of dog?
I’m biased and will choose dachshunds, but honestly love any dog that has unique or funky characteristics!
Favorite season to hike in?
Fall!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day/weekend off?
Playing beach volleyball with friends.
