What do you enjoy about working at Active Dog?
My favorite part of this job is being able to observe and help the dogs be dogs. They have the freedom to sniff, explore, and romp around in the streams. This is how dogs are meant to play!
What did you do before you worked at Active Dog and why did you decide to work with dogs?
My passion for dogs began at 4 years old when I proclaimed that I wanted to be a veterinarian (things have changed…) I have worked with dogs since I was 18 years old at Pet Rescue, NY, an animal shelter in Harrison, NY. I also owned a dog walking business and trained as a dog trainer!

Meet Tillie! 💕👋🏼 This 4 month old Portuguese Water Dog learned so much during her first training session! Her family learned about the importance of management (preventing the rehearsal of unwanted behaviors), exercises to keep her brain active (and her out of trouble!), and how to continue socialization.
