Marcy Cronk-Rosaly
Dog Hiker
I understand the great responsibility inherent to this role as Pack Leader, and will drive and hike as though my own family members were with me. On the highway, I am often found in the slow lane. Your pups are your family and I will do everything in my power to ensure their safety and positive energetic experience.
While searching for work, I came across an ad for Active Dog and it called out to me. I have always relished the thought of working outdoors, but never really saw a clear employment option until I saw Active Dog. Impressed by the organization itself and the breadth of service offerings, I sent in my application immediately. The professional way that I was treated from the outset, and the opportunity for an alternative way of working outside within a progressive and growing company is what drew me to work for Active Dog.
Favorite type of dog?
It is difficult to name a favorite; they are all so unique. I grew up with a Cairn Terrier, who passed at 19 years of age! I have loved Norwich & Norfolk terriers as well. My sister has two Basenjis, my best friends have rescues and a BullDog. I also personally love Brussels Griffon and German Shepherds.
Favorite season to hike in?
Probably Fall as we still have some lingering Summer light and warmth as well as the changing foliage. Spring would be second, to see the dogs delight in the water and woods.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day/weekend off?
Reading, walking or hiking by myself with music, planning future travel experiences, cooking and relaxing with my family. Attending my son’s baseball games & meditation with Reiki.
Here’s a look at what’s happening on our nature hikes. We post photos and videos for every hike.
