Why should you trust me with your dog?
She has always loved animals. But it wasn’t until she rescued her first dog, Mr. Mac, that she realized how deep-rooted her passion is. From that first “Gotcha Day”, she truly understood the relationship with man’s best friend. Alicia says that the dogs help her more than she helps them.
What drew you to want to work at Active Dog?
Sitting in front of a desk for hours on end just wasn’t her thing! Being active has always been a key component in her life and now she gets to be active on the job every day. This job allows her to bring her two dogs hiking so she sees firsthand how exercise, stimulation and socialization are beneficial to the fulfillment of their lives! It’s an extremely rewarding experience.
Do you have any pets of your own? If so, what kind?
Alicia has two dogs: a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a Mini-American Shepherd. With being so Active herself, she chose two herding dogs that get to reap the benefits of her job! They are exhausted after a day’s work!
What’s your favorite way to spend a day/weekend off?
On her days off, you will certainly find her with a cup of coffee. She will be at the beach reading a book or exploring some new trails with her two dogs. She also loves cooking and baking sourdough bread!
