Why should you trust me with your dog?
Being one of the most senior staff members here at Active Dog, I have been on thousands of hikes, watching over countless dogs. Being a pack leader is a big responsibility and I take that very seriously. Building a strong relationship with you and your pup is my main goal. I will always make sure everyone is having a safe and fun time while out on the trails!
What do you enjoy about working at Active Dog?
Finding AD has been such a blessing. From being able to be outside daily, playing with dogs when they’re at their happiest, to the team we have here, it’s a dream come true! Everyone that works here has such a love for dogs and the outdoors, it’s truly incredible to be surrounded by such like-minded people. Meeting new dogs and sometimes new breeds that I’ve never had the pleasure of coming across before, is something I will always be grateful for.
What did you do before you worked at Active Dog and why did you decide to work with dogs?
Before Active Dog, I was a graphic designer for a local awards company. I designed custom medals and awards for various marathons and events. While I loved being creative, I would sometimes be sitting in my cubicle without moving for hours at a time. There were days I would walk only a couple hundred steps! Now, I’m walking several miles every day and get to be the person your dog looks forward to seeing! So many of our dogs know the day they go hiking with us and will be waiting in the window. It brings so much joy to my everyday life to see those happy faces and tails wagging like crazy. There truly is nothing better than a happy dog!
